ROF 1975 Fox CVR (W) Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Wheeled)

The Fox was introduced into Service in 1973, and this Fox was withdrawn from service in 1996.
It could reach speeds of up to 80mph+ but had a tendency to roll if cornering at speed,
sometimes with fatal results. It was built by the Royal Ordnance Factory (ROF), Leeds.
It is made from aluminium and mounts a 30 mm RARDEN gun. Also mounted in the turret
was a Co-Axial 7.62mm GPMG (General Purpose Machine Gun)

The box to the left of the gun containes the Gunners night sight for observing/targetting the enemy
during hours of darkness. There is also a night sight for the driver.
It also has 4 x grenade dischargers each side so that if necessary a smoke screen could be quickly produced. This would enable the vehicle to get out of an area under cover of smoke if its position was discovered.
